Elvio Cogno Moscato dAsti is a sweet sparkling wine made by Valter Fissore and Nadia Cogno in their winery located on top of the Ravera hill in Piedmont. The wine is sweet and low in alcohol, and is considered a dessert wine. As implied by its name, the wine is made from Moscato. The fruit is hand-harvested between 1st to 12th September. Moscato dAsti is a DOCG sparkling white wine made from the Moscato bianco grape and produced mainly in the province of Asti, northwest Italy, and in smaller nearby regions in the provinces of Alessandria and Cuneo. Moscato dAsti is a sweet, lightly sparkling, low-alcohol wine from Piedmont, northwestern Italy. The average age of the vines is 30 years and the planting density 4,000-4,500 vines per ha.
